At TGIS Aviation, our focus has always been clear: know your engines, control your costs, and focus where it matters. We specialise in engine asset management, fleet optimisation, and maintenance management, because engines are the most valuable part of any aircraft, and when they perform at their best, the whole system benefits.

But just as engines move aircraft forward, it’s people who move aviation forward.

Without the engineers, operators, lessors, leaders, and support staff behind the industry, planes don’t take off and deals don’t get done. People are aviation’s most valuable asset and that’s why we’re proud to sponsor a new initiative designed to support them.

A New Online Event Series

Starting this autumn, TGIS Aviation will be sponsoring a series of monthly online events open to everyone in aviation. Each one-hour session is designed to provide practical tools that often get overlooked in technical industries, but are essential for long-term success:

  • Courage
  • Confidence
  • Empathy
  • Communication
  • Inclusion

The series is the brainchild of our Managing Director, Charlie Whyman, who is combining her two worlds – professional speaking and aviation leadership to bring new skills, fresh perspectives, and valuable discussions to our industry.

“Engines move aircraft forward, but it’s people who move aviation forward,” says Charlie. “At TGIS, we help engines deliver their best performance and retain maximum value. With this series, we want to support people to do the same, by giving them tools to build courage, confidence, and communication skills that help drive real, positive change in aviation.”

Designed for Inclusion

The aviation industry is often described as a supportive community, but it isn’t always easy for everyone to take part in traditional events.

Charlie brings her personal perspective to the project:

“As a single mum, I know how hard it can be to attend events that involve travel or long days away from home. If we want to talk seriously about inclusion, it can’t just mean opening doors for women, it has to mean creating access for parents, carers, neurodiverse individuals, different generations, and people from all cultures. That’s why these events are online and open to everyone: so more people can get involved, learn, and benefit.”

Kicking Off with Active Bystander Training

The first session will be led by leadership expert Heather Wright, who will deliver interactive Active Bystander Training. This workshop will help attendees gain confidence and strategies to speak up in challenging moments, reinforcing respect and collaboration across aviation.

Why TGIS Is Proud to Sponsor

At TGIS, we’re known for our technical expertise in engines, but we’re equally committed to supporting the people who make aviation possible.

This new event series is one way we’re doing just that. By investing in people as well as engines, we’re helping to create a stronger, more inclusive industry one that is ready for the future.

“This community initiative is about focusing on the people, because people are aviation’s most valuable asset,” adds Charlie.
